Mobile App for Interacting with a Camping Lamp

• Led a team of 2 to build an iOS and Android app
• Collaborated heavily with a world-class design firm to take product requirements and design, refine, and implement the UI and UX
• Using the product requirements, designed and implemented the Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) interface
• Collaborated with China-based manufacturer to ensure the hardware adhered to Bluetooth interface
• Due to limited hardware availability, wrote a separate software "stand-in" to build against while developing the app. This worked by using a computer's Bluetooth capabilities to advertise the expected Bluetooth capabilities to the app
• Managed firmware updates by building an over-the-air firmware update feature into the app and designing a firmware versioning strategy for the hardware team
• QA'd the product against multiple iOS and Android targets
• Played Project Lead role responsible for managing the project budget, dictating what features get built when, leading communications with the client, and managing fellow developers.
• Delivered the final product under a tight deadline and project budget
• Released on iOS App Store and Google Play store in time for Christmas retail launch

Mobile App for Volleyball Event Series

• Led a team of 3 to build an iOS and Android app
• Collaborated with a backend developer to define necessary schema
• Integrated with backend via GraphQL
• Integrated with Livestream video service
• Played Project Lead role responsible for managing the project budget, dictating what features get built when, leading communications with the client, and managing fellow developers.
• Released on iOS App Store and Google Play store in time for first major sporting event

Mobile App to Improve your Work Commute

• Worked in a team of 5 to build a consumer facing mobile app for major Auto company
• Integrated with backend via GraphQL
• Played auxiliary role supporting project lead and collaborating with backend engineers from client organization.

Web App to Manage Meal Kit Menus

• Acted as sole developer to build a new version of a web app for managing meal kit menus
• The app was designed for internal chefs of a popular meal kit delivery service and integrated tool with other internal tools and spreadsheets
• Collaborated with client to improve major features and add additional workflows
• Succesfully migrated to version 2 of the app including coordinating the transition of workflows to coincide with the migration of existing data schema
• Played Project Lead role responsible for managing the project budget, dictating what features get built when, leading communications with the client, and managing fellow developers.
• Sole developer responsible for app maintenance for more than a year and counting

Web App for Internal Supply Chain Management

• Worked in team of 2 to build an ingredient sourcing tool for major meal kit supplier.
• Helped turn product requirements into wireframes and ultimately a finished app in time for a major internal deadline
• Worked alongside client backend developers to integrate the app with other backend services via JSON API
• Helped deploy the app to the client's web infrastructure including Dockerizing the app
• Sole developer responsible for app maintenance for more than 18 months and counting

Validic Connect Partner API

• Spearheaded the development of the Validic Partner API to enable dozens of healthcare partners to become part of the Validic healthcare marketplace
• Played lead developer for API support, documentation, maintenance, and development including a migration to version 2 of the API

Validic Mobile API

• Primary developer responsible for providing the private Mobile API used by the Validic Mobile SDK and serving 6+ million requests per day

Validc Connect Developer Portal

• Led development of an API developer portal that provided centralized API keys, documentation, support, and playground environment, and which decreased API implementation time by 70%

Validc API

• One of four engineers responsible for stabilizing core legacy codebase
• Doubled test-coverage and halved support tickets over an 8 month period
